New contracts awarded
Following extensive consultations and close
collaboration with the Strategic Development
Team several long standing and experienced
network members, many of whom have
achieved award winning success with
Palletways, have been awarded 10 year
contracts for new, additional areas.
Having served the Sheield area almost since the
establishment of the network Hastings Freight
Services Ltd, network newcomers were awarded
a new additional contracted membership at the
beginning of the year for the Greater Doncaster
area.
Systematic Logistics International Ltd,
who recently invested in prestigious new
headquarters in Colchester, won a new
contracted membership in a second location at
Stansted serving the South Hertfordshire & North
Essex area. In the North, Caledonian Logistics Ltd
secured a new contracted membership in a new
depot at their third location in Cumbernauld ,
near Glasgow, to develop the Ayrshire market
and add to their very successful memberships
in Aberdeen and Inverness.
In May of this year John Reid Trucking were
awarded a new additional contracted member
area in Humberside, following success in North
Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.
Reason Transport successfully earned a new
contracted membership in a second depot
location near Banbury to develop the North
Oxfordshire and West Buckinghamshire
markets. and Dalkeith NPD ( Glasgow ) have
been awarded a new contracted membership
in the Edinburgh area in a second location to
further develop the Scottish Central belt.
The network has been further strengthened
with the awarding of a total of ten new
contracts, six valued members have committed
to building their Palletways business by
requesting additional contracted areas and, in
the process an additional seven new depots
have also been established.
The extensive area re-alignment and
recruitment operation is providing excellent
new opportunities for existing members. The
new areas have all succeeded in also improving
the efficiency and profitability of surrounding
member areas. All of the above members have
offered excellent support and co-operation
during the developments and are thanked
for their support which sometimes included
temporary but high quality area cover.
Network Newcomers...
And More
The Palletways network has
recently welcomed a new
member, Allelys General
Haulage, which makes its
first foray into the palletised
freight industry.
The Allelys Group, which incorporates both general and heavy haulage,
was founded in 1964 and specialises in the delivery of over-sized and
abnormal loads, such as heavy machinery. Joining Palletways, the firm
will now cater for a wide range of logistics needs, handling everything
from single pallet loads to 400 tonne consignments.
The Allelys Group currently operates 30 general haulage vehicles and 10
dedicated heavy haulage vehicles. They are the member for Worcestershire
David Allely, Managing Director of the Allelys Group, said:
"We are delighted to be a fully-fledged Palletways member and are excited
by the opportunities that being part of Europe's largest palletised freight
network affords".
Another new member to the network is McGregor Logistics Ltd. Formerly
a long term Pallex member, McGregorLogistics have been awarded two
contracted memberships in two depots, one in Yorkshire and one in Essex
serving central Essex and North Kent. Welcome to Keith and the team at
McGregors, who are already appreciating fantastic service improvements.
Recruitment of high quality new members is rapidly accelerating the
total stability of the network and its market leading service excellence.
