20 Years
Of Success
> Continued from Page 1
The network grew rapidly from
its beginnings, exceeding an
average daily volume of 2,000
pallets and moving to its current
base in Fradley, West Midlands
in 1995, and delivering its one
millionth pallet in 1997.
In 2002, the network entered Europe for the first
time, with the creation of Palletways Italia, while
UK expansion also continued when Palletways
Scotland was formed. Within a year the company
was officially confirmed as one of the fastest
growing companies in Europe as it moves its
10 millionth pallet.
The move into Europe gathered pace just one
year later, with the network expanding into the
Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Demark
and Luxembourg, before bringing the Palletways
network to Spain in 2005.
In recent years the development of a unique, market
leading IT system has improved the eiciency of the
network by 23%, while expansion continues across
Europe as Palletways moves into new territories
such as the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
However, we're not going to rest on our laurels and
take our position as the largest and fastest growing
express palletised freight network for granted.
The next year will see some significant and exciting
developments across the business that will bring
tangible benefits to our members and customers.
Here's to another 20 years of success.
591 Years Of Service
A total of 51 Palletways staf will be presented with the Long Service Award
