Their products have already
proved a hit with consumers
in the UK, Italy and France,
and by partnering with
Palletways for all European
deliveries, the company
is looking to build on this
success over the coming year.
Bruce Mitchell, Operations Manager at
Yankee Candle Company, said:
"We are excited by the potential that our
partnership with Palletways offers to us and
our customers. As our business expands
across Europe, we require a logistics firm that
can provide a speedy and reliable service
across the continent to ensure our products
reach customers on time".
Rob Gittins, UK Sales Director for
Palletways said:
"We are delighted to be working with
Yankee Candle. We have started 2014 with a
considerable momentum, winning a number
of international contracts with multi-national
businesses seeking a single distribution
solution as demand for exports across Europe
continues to grow".
"Yankee Candle is a major household name
both in Europe and America and this deal
demonstrates the respect and reputation that
Palletways has developed through its efficient
service and excellent customer care both in
the UK and across the continent".
As part of the deal, special Yankee Candlebranded

Palletways hits
the sweet spot
Palletways has secured a deal with major
international confectionery manufacturer, Fini
Sweets, to distribute their products in the UK.
The contract, awarded to Palletways Fulfilment, will see Fini Sweets,
which is sold in over 80 countries and is the largest producer of
marshmallows, jellies and liquorice worldwide, outsource its UK
warehousing and distribution activities.
Fini Sweets products are perishable and must reach the consumer
by specific dates.
Managing Director of Fini Sweets UK, Paul Southam, said:
"We have experienced global growth of 26.3% over the past
year and are targeting the UK as a prime market for our
products. Palletways Fulfilment provided the ideal fit for
distributing our products, as we require a logistics firm that
can provide fast and reliable service to ensure all of our
products reach customers well within the strict use-by dates".
"Palletways' WEBSTOCK system allows us to monitor and
manage our stock, tracking each consignment individually,
delivering additional quality control measures and greater
visibility for us and our customers. Having our products stored
at the Palletways hub in Lichield is another major beneit, as it
allows us to place orders late in the day for next day delivery".
The contract win has also proved to be a major hit in the press, with over 20
stories promoting the Palletways network appearing in trade, confectionery
and local publications with a circulation of over 248,000 people around the
UK and further stories appearing in Spain and France.
