Your will...
leaving a lasting legacy
A growing number of OAs and other supporters
have decided to leave a gift to King's College in their
wills. Many of them find that a legacy allows them
to support the school or the OA Benefit Fund more
generously than their present circumstances allow. If
you would like to support King's College in this way
you can arrange with a solicitor to put this in place.
If you intend to include a legacy in your will, it would
be very helpful for us to know about your decision.
he inheritance tax reforms, announced in the 2011
budget, are designed to support charities such as
King's College. From April 2012, inheritance tax will be
reduced to 36% from the present 40% for those who
leave at least 10% of their estate to charity, provided
the value of one's estate is greater than £325,000. If
you would like further information or advice about
the King's College legacy programme please contact
Leisa Lavender, the school's Director of Development.
