I studied a civil engineering degree at Glamorgan
University and was a road engineer for a few years putting
in speed bumps and traffic calming schemes in Taunton.
After emigrating to New Zealand in 2004 I qualified for
a Commercial Pilot's license. I flew in Fiji for a few years
and now fly for Air New Zealand domestically. I married a
Kiwi and now live in Blenheim with 3 crazy kids, Ashton
(nearly 3), Blake (20 months) and Reilly (4 month girl).

I won a HSJ (health service journal award, in effect the
annual NHS awards) this month for a project that I
developed in partnership with NHS Devon to try and
combat skin cancer in teenagers in Devon.
Jan 2012 marks 10 years in Italy and I am now fluent in
French. My partner and I have got a two year old boy who
is currently learning 3 languages (Spanish, Italian & English).
I still ski, mountaineer, sail, hit the beaches, cafes and get
out on the motorbike occasionally, besides developing
fast cars! Before my son came along I also managed to setup a Masters
swimming club here in Turin and was able
to vent my frustrations as a coach on a team of willing
sufferers who thought I had a good plan. I still remember
the day I was coaching the Water-Polo team and Tom Sell
wound me up so much I clobbered him with one of the
rescue sticks! he team recently came first place in the
Italian Masters winter championships. So job done! Still
love swimming & the competition! In the new year all
change and we will be moving to Shanghai for a 3 year
minimum stay.
