Headmaster KHS
A few members of King's Hall
Choir recently performed at
the OA Christmas Lunch at
the Cavalry and Guards Club in
London and both OAs and the
choir thoroughly enjoyed the
occasion. he choir was also asked
to sing carols at the Somerset
County Cricket Ground.
Music also featured strongly
in our Year 8 play, a musical
adaptation of Shakespeare's "A
Midsummer Night's Dream", which was performed with
great skill. he acting was strong, the singing ambitious
(including four part harmonies) and a wonderful sense of
confidence emanated from all involved.
Rob Holman, OA, has settled in very well to his role as
Director of Sport and has lots of ideas. he Girls Under
13 Hockey Team were county runners-up and will go
on to the regional tournament. he Girls Under 9s and
Under 10s are unbeaten as are the Boys Rugby Colts A
and Colts B teams. he Boys 1st VII were Plate winners at
the Sherborne Rugby sevens and the Colts A were Cup
runners up.
he boarding scene is vibrant and on several nights
recently there have been around 55-60 in the boarding
house which represents more than 1 in 4 children in the
Prep. here is an increasing boarding community and
weekly boarding is very popular.
he new Pelican Nursery, for two year olds, has also
proved a great success and we have taken on an extra
member of staff to cope with demand.
Do look at the school's brilliant weekly Newsletters on
the website for a thorough insight to all that goes on at
King's Hall.
