OA Club Office News
Brenda Hayman
Development Assistant
2014 has been an amazing year for the OA Club Office and I would
like to thank the many OAs who have helped me and Brenda.
It is a privilege to work in such a wonderful school and we have
enjoyed some fabulous events this year. I started the year with a trip
to Sydney and Melbourne and on our way back the Headmaster
and I popped into Hong Kong to meet with members of the King's
Foundation Board; thank you to Victor Chu, Franklin Heng, Michael
Chau and Edmund Kwok and fellow OAs for their support. he
40s and 50s reunion luncheon in April at the RAF Club was a fun
event and much enjoyed by all attendees - thanks to Colin Bulloch
for his co-ordination. In May we welcomed members of the Old
Pelican Society (King's Legacy Society) back to school with fellow
Benefactors' for a special day in the classroom and exploring old
haunts. In June we welcomed OAs and families for a relaxed day at
King's. Pimms and cricket seem a long time ago! he Michaelmas
term has been busy with trips to Hong Kong, the OA dinner and
Remembrance events. Alison Mason, the Archivist, helped by Chris Warren has produced fascinating
material from the Archives to support events and answered masses of queries. Chris
has also produced a book about King's pupils who died in the WWI.
I would like to thank the many donors and supporters of King's, without your help
King's would not be such a successful school.
