PHILIP MORGAN - King Alfred 1960
I have not been back since sometime in the early 60s so
you can imagine how much I felt it had changed. What
wonderful facilities are now available for pupils and I was
very interested to see how the lovely modern library
blended into the old building. he most dramatic changes
were the facilities in what was the King Alfred dormitory. I
shall never forget the faces of the two pupils who showed
us around when I told them there were at least 30 beds in
the dormitories on either side of the Housemasters room
and the bed making was inspected daily to check our
hospital corners!

written for them in highlights from the entire Hitchhiker's
Saga. hey are joined on stage by a VIP Guest Voice Of
he Book and supporting actors from Hitchhiker's in all
its phases."

CHRIS NEWMAN - Meynell 1973
RUTH MAXWELL - Carpenter 1976
I am still living in Sussex with my GP husband Tom, working
as a freelance copyeditor for medical and veterinary
publishers, and our daughter Tessa finishes her degree
from Manchester this summer.
As it is 7 years since I climbed Kilimanjaro in aid of
Macmillan Cancer Support, I decided it was time for
another charity challenge, and successfully completed
the London Moonwalk in May in aid of breast cancer
charities, raising nearly £4000. Walking a full marathon
through London, starting at midnight (dressed in a
nautical themed decorated bra) with 17,000 people was
an amazing experience, cheered all the way by family,
cabbies, firemen, and bewildered tourists! As we crossed
the Finish line at 8.30am, a cup of tea never tasted so good!
