Every cruise (including the repositioning cruises) features

the three most popular Caribbean holiday destinations

for the British cruiser: Barbados, Saint Lucia and Antigua.

Indeed these islands are so British - they all drive on the

left hand side of the road!

Antigua has 365 beaches - one for every day of the year; the

most popular ones being Galley Bay and Hawksbill Beaches.

Antigua is extremely popular with the sailing fraternity with

many marinas packed with expensive yachts. Nelson's fleet

was hosted in the late 1700's in a picturesque bay on the

other side of the island to the capital and is now one of the

best known bays for said sailing fraternity - now aptly named

Nelson's Dockyard.

Saint Lucia is lush tropical island with a rainforest in its centre

and is famous for the volcanic peaks off Les Pitons- two twin

conical shaped mountains. St Lucia became part of the British

Commonwealth as recently as 1979. There are charming

fishing villages, bustling markets & stunning volcanic scenery.

Check out picturesque Marigot Bay the location of many

films, trek through the rainforest and take a refreshing dip in

a waterfall or be adventurous and take a jungle top zip wire

adventure. The best beach is Rodney Bay with its white sands

or longer Reduit Beach - both north of Castries.

Barbados is probably the most popular Caribbean island for

British holiday maker. There are two reasons for this - the

incredible white sand beaches on the sheltered western side

of the island and because it's the only Caribbean Island to

be colonised by one nation - the Brits! You will even find a

Trafalgar Square here. Bridgetown is the capital lying in the

South Western corner of the island. The closest beach to the

cruise terminal is Boatyard Beach - a white sand happening

beach that is well equipped particularly in its Adventure Beach

area with lots of things to do. Barbados is famous for its Golf

Courses - particularly at Sandy Lane, its cricket and perhaps

take time out to visit Sunbury Plantation House over 300

years old.

Island hop with fellow Brits on one of these premium Caribbean cruises. P&O Cruises is the only brand to be sold solely

in the UK and so cuisine, entertainment and cruise itineraries are to tailored to perfectly satisfy British tastes. Each ship

sails a 14 night itinerary on alternate weeks from Barbados with an overnight port of call in Barbados at either the start

or the end of the cruise. Perhaps consider one of the repositioning cruises between Southampton and Barbados at the

start or the end of the season. Fly just once and really appreciate all each ship has to offer with several days at sea, plus

you will be able to relax even more with fewer ports of call.
