Resolving Concerns
Introduction
As an organisation, Synexus aims to be the patient's choice for clinical
research; and it's up to each of us to contribute in making this happen. We
work in a professional environment and we expect everyone to treat each
other with respect and dignity. Our Values should be evident in all we do.
To uphold this commitment means we all take responsibility to speak up if
we have concerns, whether this is towards another employee, a process, a
decision or patient safety. Whatever the concern, it is important that it is
raised, so it can be looked into and have it resolved. If you are not sure on
how best to raise a concern, please speak with your Line Manager or the HR
team who are here to help.
Open-Door Policy
Problems occasionally arise in any workplace. To assist employees in
resolving such issues and to promote a good working environment, Synexus
maintains the following open door problem-solving procedure:
• The employee should discuss the issue with the immediate line
manager
• If the immediate line manager does not resolve the issue to the
employee's satisfaction or if the employee does not feel comfortable
discussing it with the immediate line manager, the employee should
meet with the next management level
• The employee may also go directly to Human Resources for assistance
