We were delighted was no curtailment on the number of researchers, other
academics, services users and carers and professionals who submitted conference
abstracts for consideration by the Conference Abstract Committee for the delivery
of small group presentations and poster presentations.
The reach of the conference across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland,
Scotland, Wales and England was noted with abstract submissions also received
from all across Ireland. This is all testimony to the success of the conference.
Despite the additional complexities of a virtual event presenters were all very
responsive and chairs of the live sessions kept the event engaging and interactive.

"What an absolutely marvellous conference! Quite apart from the great presenters the slick interfaces,
musical interludes, poster and resource rooms etc. They were all brilliant"!
"I think the event was a great success; I dipped in and out of as many of the presentations as I
could and I thought they were really effective over Zoom. Well done on hosting the first virtual
conference hopefully by next year the virtual option will be just that and not a necessity".
A huge thank you required is however required for those working hard behind the scene:
Andriana Alkiviadou, Maura Campbell and Pauline Treanor (HSCB). The Conference Abstract
Committee: Paul Webb, (Praxis) Dominic McSherry (Ulster University) and Karen Bester (Service
A special note of praise is also extended to our technicians from SPARQ, Phil Adair; Sheridan
Parnell, John and Gary who kept us right pre, during and post the conference on everything
