Vine are grown the full length of Italy, from the alpine foothills to the southern tip of
Sicily. Culture and cuisine are inextricably linked to Italian wine styles, enshrined in
traditions. Italy extends from the Alps to Africa encompassing myriad regions and
terroirs. Piedmont lies in the north with Nebbiolo as its king, a grape responsible for
some of the finest red wines in Italy. Further south, Tuscany is about Sangiovese,
featuring in Chianti, Brunello and many of the "Super-Tuscans". The south of Italy is
naturally warmer and here the wines and powerful and sweetly fruit. All Italian reds,
