Fundraising
hank you to the many OAs who have helped the school recently, either by
speaking to pupils, sponsoring equipment or donating to the school
Annual Fund Projects
here are a number of small projects that we would appreciate support for this year:
Portable Sound system
he Performing Arts department has an old portable sound system that was
donated by an OA but now needs replacing as it is beyond economic repair. he
set is relatively compact, has amps onboard and is ideal for supplementing the
current house sound system, as on stage monitoring or front fill.
his system is much used by the heatre and Music department and we would
welcome support from OAs. he cost is £1,649.
Rugby Post Protectors and Kit Sponsorship
Dr David Snell, the new Head of King's Rugby reported another successful season which
saw the 1st XV record wins against Plymouth and Blundells. When Pete McKegney retired
he left King's with a fixture list that is the envy of many schools and a coaching team
who take as much pride in winning as the players they coach. Recent players such as Jack
Watters, Tom Sharp and Ollie Gibb all contributed to King's victories.
To reflect our success on the pitch we would like to upgrade our post protectors which
are a vital piece of branded equipment. Each set of four protectors will cost £500.
New sponsors are also sought for the rugby kit, please contact Dr David Snell for a

he Financial Times is used
by the Business Studies and
Economics students studying
for A-level. It benefits their
academic performance, by
exposing them to high level
opinions on business strategies and international economics.
We are grateful to the two local OAs who are currently
letting us have their used copies, ideally we would appreciate
a regular annual subscription, the cost of which is £572 pa.
Aluredian
he early copies of he
Aluredian up to 1940 have now
been digitised by the Archives
and can be found on the OA
website (www.aluredian.co.uk)
thanks to a generous donation
from an OA. Further digitising of the period 1954-19lml@kingstaunton.co.ukce over the next few months. he cost is about
£50 per year and if you would like to support further
digitisation please contact Leisa Lavender lml@kingstaunton.co.uk.
