Phillip Brown - Meynell 1985
2 years ago my youngest
son was diagnosed with
an auto-immune disease
(Juvenile Dermatomyositis),
which meant a lengthy
stay in Great Ormond
Street Hospital. Unpleasant
though it was for us as
a family, the work, care
and expertise at GOSH is
amazing to witness and I
find myself forced to take up the running shoes again to
raise money for this flagship children's hospital. Take a trip to
my Just Giving page where you'll find a little more detail and
a very simple way to donate money to this charity. he link

Imogen Fitzpatrick (nee Lovell-Smith) - Taylor 2003
I got married in July 2013 in
Somerset, where my mother
lives, to a wonderful Mr
Sam Fitzpatrick who I met
at Birmingham University in
my second year and seven
years later he popped the
question in Paris.
We had the most beautiful
traditional white summer
wedding with lots of old
faces from King's! Sam and
I now live in London, where
I work as a Philanthropy
Manager at a disability charity called Scope, which I love,
and Sam is a Management Consultant at Accenture. We are
very happy, although I still can't quite believe it has been so
long since I was a pupil at King's'!
Richard Hingston - King Alred 2005
On Friday 11 July 2014
Richard will be attempting
to break the world record
for individual time spent
batting. To do this he will
be aiming to spend over 26
hours in the practice nets
at King's College. He will be
allowed a 5 minute break
every hour, but other than
that he must be continually
hitting balls through the night.
he aim is to have as many people participating in this event as possible, whether it be for moral support or to bowl
through the night.
Richard will be raising money for Orbis, a charity which
runs a mobile eye hospital from a DC-10 aircraft, curing
conditions such as cataracts and restoring people's sight in
the world's most inaccessible places.
If you require furtrhingston@hotmail.comd's record breaking
attempt, or to find out how you can sponsor him, please
email rhingston@hotmail.com.
David Hunter - Neates 1982
David Hunter, Fakenham's
indefatigable clerk of the
course and chief executive
was awarded an honorary
doctorate by Easton & Otley
Agricultural College, which
is part of the University of
East Anglia. David said:
"It was a huge honour. I
was massively flattered and
it came out of the blue. I
have had dealings with the
college with my racing hat on and as manager of the British
para-equestrian dressage team and they very graciously
said they would like to give me an honorary doctorate in
recognition of what I have done for racing regionally and
equestrianism in general."
