"After March 2013 I was receiving adjuvant chemotherapy
for breast cancer.
The nursing staff on the oncology unit and my district nursing
staff were brilliant. They took their time with me, were very
thorough and diligent and I felt I could ask them anything;
they addressed all my concerns and treated me as a
person and not just a patient.
Stories in the media actually annoy me because I don't feel
this represents all the hard working NHS staff that are
doing their job well".
There's more to the NHS than just bad headlines
"Nurses are dead on. Really helped
to calm me down when I came in.
I was really worried about prison, who I
would have to share with;
what would happen to me.
Nurse took time that night to talk
to me. I needed it!"

"I received excellent care from beginning to end.
Every single member of the Midwifery team were
kind, compassionate, energetic, sympathetic, positive
and knowledgeable. They helped with pain relief,
psychological/emotional support for me and tirelessly
with breast feeding support. I cannot compliment their
attitude and their care highly enough."
