"I consider myself extremely privileged to have been
cared for by such a professional, friendly, capable and
genuine team of nurses & midwives.
They deserve the highest levels of praise and recognition for
the passion and professionalism they display 24 hours a day.
It is clear there are challenges and conditions of work aren't
easy but those amazing ladies don't let it affect the level of
care we receive. They went over and above on every occasion.
I constantly felt like I was their only patient and my
well-being (mentally & physically) and that of my new son
was their priority.
The hospital is so lucky to have this team, they are so
incredible and the level of individual care they provide,
often in their own time, is quite amazing".

"I had taken ill when at home with flu type symptoms in
August 2017. I had been in bed all weekend until the Sunday when
I felt my chest hurt. As an asthmatic I tried to do my peak flow but
I couldn't move the needle any so came to Emergency Department.
Within 5 minutes of reaching Emergency Department I was taken to
triage, had bloods taken then moved to Resuscitation area where I had
a chest x-ray, nebulisers, ECG, more bloods taken and a diagnosis
was reached within an hour. I had pneumonia.
I was well monitored by doctors and nurses and very well looked after.
I was moved to MAU in the evening to a bed and a new set of staff.
I was very well looked after with anti-biotic through the drip until end
of August 2017 then I had to take them orally. I had then a second
antibiotic prescribed to help with the infection.
My nebulisers stopped at end of August 2017.
Nothing was too much trouble to any of these nurses they deserve
a medal as they had some very challenging times with patients
when security had to be called several times.
They are all angels in my opinion".
