YOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrive Munich, Roth - Fly from
the UK to Munich. On arrival, you will be
met and transferred to your river ship. Get
to know your fellow travellers and crew
tonight at a Captain's Welcome Reception.
Day 2: Regensburg - Continue along
the Danube to the enchanting town of
Regensburg, located in the southern region
of the Bavarian Forest. Here, a guided tour
tells of the medieval city's journey through
the ages.
A Taste of Bavaria - enjoy your very own
private Bavarian experience during your
cruise, with local beer and snacks, plus
traditional folk music, song and dance.
Day 3: Passau, Linz - Arrive in the
charming 'Three Rivers City' of Passau,
where the rivers Inn and Ilz join the Danube.
Take in the city's impressive architecture,
then cruise across the border into Austria
on the way to picturesque Linz.
Enhance Your Journey: Visit Salzburg and
tour the fascinating city, or explore the
enchanting Czech town of Ceský Krumlov.
Day 4: Melk, Dürnstein - Walk over
cobblestone streets past 16th-century
town houses and taverns. Later, dock
in Melk and join a local guide for a tour
through magnificent Melk Abbey, an active
Benedictine monastery.
Day 5: Vienna - Join an enthralling walking
tour where you'll be treated to an insider's
view of Vienna's best-loved landmarks,
including the iconic St Stephen's Cathedral,
Graben, Hofburg Palace and the Albertina.
Like a Local - enjoy a Viennese tradition
with a visit to the famous Naschmarkt. You
will have the opportunity to sample some
regional delicacies and try a local favourite
- palatschinken - as you peruse the stalls
Day 6: Vienna - With the day at leisure,
explore Vienna's Hofburg area - home
to the Imperial Treasury and the Spanish
Riding School, and much more.
Enhance Your Journey: Visit Schönbrunn
Palace; explore the Slovakian capital of
Bratislava; or attend a private Mozart and
Strauss classical concert.
Day 7: Budapest - Today, enjoy Matthias
Church, the Fisherman's Bastion, Heroes'
Square, Buda Castle, the Houses of
Parliament and much more. After a
Captain's Farewell Dinner, set off on a
lovely twilight cruise through the heart of
Budapest and watch as the magnificent
monuments light up along the Danube
River.
Day 8: Depart Budapest - This morning,
your cruise comes to an end in Budapest.
After a delicious breakfast on board,
disembark and be transferred to the airport
for your flight back to the UK.
