Charly will be swimming 1 mile in Loch Lomond in support
of Eaves, a charity that exposes and addresses violence
against women and girls in the UK. At Eaves, domestic
violence refuges provide beds for women who are unsafe in
their own homes. Drop-in centres run by counsellors offer
support and advice to women with nowhere else to go, and
a specialist service for victims of trafficking enables women to gain their freedom. To find out more and to support
Charly and Eaves, please visit https://www.justgiving.com/

Will James - King Alfred 2013 &
Arthur Keeling - Tuckwell 2013
You may ask why drive 10,000 miles across feral unsupported
adventuring chaos from the UK to Mongolia in cars the size
of a lawnmower. Well what is life without a little adventure
and that is just what we are going on. Despite its name,
the Mongol Rally, you don't get anything for coming 1st or
153rd - it's the taking part that counts.
Will James and I will be raising money as we take part
in this event. he chosen charities are Coolearth and
WaterAid. Coolearth is the charity that is supported by the
Adventurists and both of us truly support and believe in the
good work they are doing saving the rainforests around the
world. WaterAid is a charity that I personally supported in
2011 when I cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats.
We are two amateur adventurers travelling over 10,000 miles
to Ulaanbaatar (also known as Ulan Bator), the capital of
Mongolia, in a car which would barely get you to the local
shop. We would really appreciate (need) any help we can
get.
We depart from London on 20 July, and travel through
Europe going through 9 countries, stopping off at various
places along the way to do some sightseeing and cultural
immersement. We will be entering Turkey on the 26th,
then entering Iran, Turkmenistan (to see the Gates to Hell),
Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and then finally
Mongolia!! his will take roughly 5 weeks.
We will be posting on our Facebook page motoring morons.
