OA Day - 28 June 2014
On 28 June 2014 King's opened its doors for the annual OA
Day. We welcomed OAs, young and old, back to the school
with partners, friends and family to enjoy a relaxed day
exploring old haunts and visiting many of the new facilities
for pupils.
Current pupils were tour guides around the grounds
ensuring old favourites such as the Chapel, Dining Room
and Woodard Room were included. he Woodard Room
was the venue for a concert with solo performances from
current pupils which were very well received.
King's catering excelled throughout the day with a wonderful
school lunch and OAs had to be reassured that it was the
same lunch served to the pupils. After lunch the guests were
invited to the hub, given iPads to use and Simon West, who
teaches Biology, explained how new technology is used in
today's teaching.
Other guests revisited the Archives to look through all
the displays laid out by Alison Mason and find pictures
of themselves from the school records. Afternoon tea and
Pimms were then served to round off the day.
