Clinical Education
This year the clinical educators have supported 28 international nurses through their OSCE
preparation.
We wish our new staff well in their new wards and careers within the South Eastern HSC Trust.
We also introduced a new interactive 'Deteriorating Patient' study day.
Topics covered:
• Respiratory care
• Palliative care
• Bereavement.
The afternoon session took attendees through
the stages of caring and monitoring the
deteriorating patient.
Our main mandatory focus was 'Vital Signs'
training for our HCW and improving nominated Fire Officer uptake training.
Bespoke training sessions throughout the year have also supported mandatory training with regards
infection control and pressure ulcer management.
