• We genuinely care about people and believe in
putting them first whether that be our guests, our team
members or collaborating with our suppliers.
• We regularly survey our team to identify what is
important to them in our green journey, and identify
areas which require education and awareness training,
to support in developing confidence and actions.
• We have created a sustainability training module for
all new team members joining Eden Hotel Collection as
part of their induction.
• We have developed a guest green survey, which we
regularly evaluate to enhance practices and welcome
new initiatives.
• We are proud to present our visitor charter,
committing to protecting the environment from any
adverse effects arising from our activities or the
services provided.
• We actively collaborate and engage
with our local community.
• We proactively purchase from local
suppliers where possible.
• We showcase local artisan creatives
within each hotel.
• We have launched our 'Roots to
Shoots' community programme
supporting nutrition and local
education within our collection
• We have 5 charity partners, each one
local to the individual hotel.
• We aim to reduce our carbon emissions and our
activities in supporting this
• We have successfully eradicated any waste going to
landfill.
• We have balanced greenhouse gas emissions
associated with our scheduled waste collections using
one of the government allowable measurement
methodologies and have invested in tree planting and
wind turbine projects.
• We have directly recycled 35% of all waste, 49% of
our waste has created renewable energy and 16% of
our waste has been anaerobically digested.
• We are actively growing more edible produce and
creating areas supporting biodiversity.
• We are supporting and carrying out strategic green
practices with a conscience, that contribute to future
proofing the lives and livelihoods of future generations.
• We will continue to invest in our teams starting from
their Day 1 induction who will 'Grow with Eden' to build a
strong sustainable team.
• We will educate ourselves and those around us and
adapt our practices, in an evolving everchanging
landscape.
• We will be seen as one of the leading businesses within
our community, leading forward transparently and
responsibly, providing opportunities to give back to the
community.
• We pledge to reach our Net Zero target of 2040.
