change to the law.
in municipalities that have signed a
territorial revitalisation agreement are
now eligible for the tax reduction, as well
as homes located in a city centre in need
of rehabilitation. This reduction is only
possible on the condition that the housing
improvement work represents at least
25% of the total cost of the operation.
The Loi Pinel has been a great success
since its beginning in 2014. It was
supposed to end in 2017, however, since
then it has been extended twice. Buyers
still have two years to make the most of
this tax reduction.

The Loi Pinel was introduced in 2014,
it allows any investor buying a new
home for the purpose of renting it out
to benefi t from a tax reduction. The Loi
Pinel was introduced by the government,
as part of the Housing Recovery Plan,
to encourage the construction of rental
properties in France.
The Loi Pinel has been extended until
2024 with a few adjustments. In the past,
all new builds located in zones A, A bis,
B1, B2 and C were eligible. However, the
scheme was narrowed down to so-called
"tense" zones. Thus, it now only applies to
zones A, A Bis and B1.
The Loi Pinel has been extended
to areas that have been subject to a
revitalisation contract in the last 8 years.
The 2019 Finance Bill introduced a
