If I am buying a holiday home who can I get
to manage it for me?
If you are buying a holiday home, you need a professional
property manager to assist you. Ideally they
should be registered, licenced, trained and experienced
with the relevant insurance - like Leggett Property
Management (LPM). If you invest in a holiday home,
you need someone you trust to maintain and to protect
it from all the potential issues a property can
face in your absence. Another good reason to choose
LPM is to earn money from your holiday home (and
cover its costs and taxes) when you are not enjoying
it yourself. LPM can organise all of your rentals business
for you!

Ask our Experts
We receive dozens of questions during our regular webinars about buying in
France - some again and again. Here we ask our experts for their responses to
fi ve of the most popular queries.
Can I still come and live in France?
As a British citizen wishing to spend time in France
without requesting a visa, then the 90/180 rule applies in
that you must only live in France or Schengen
area for 90 days out of every 180 days. This means,
once you have spent 90 days in France, you must
leave for 90 days.
If you wish to move to France for longer than 90
days, then you will need to apply for a visa at the
French consulate. You will need to decide which visa
to apply for and this depends on your objectives for
moving to France.
If you just wish to have more fl exibility and avoid
the 90/180 rule but stay a UK tax resident, then the
six-month visa could be an option. Alternatively, if
you wish to become a resident of France and request
a residency permit but not work, then the long stay
visitor's visa is also available.
