WORKING IN REAL ESTATE

Many agents comment on the
support and training they receive
from Leggett that has equipped
them well for the role. Mark Lewis,
an agent on the Côte d'Azur, says:
"There were other companies I
considered joining but I felt that the
Leggett structure and head office
support were excellent for someone
like me who knew very little about
real estate and wanted to start their
own business with little financial
risk."
If you are considering a career
change, get in touch; one of our
team will be delighted to talk to
you. As Declan McCann puts it so
well: "Earning a living doing what
you love has got to be the goal,

A mother-and-son team has also
been incredibly successful since
they joined a year ago, with Shirley

business and to develop their own
smaller teams where capacity allows
it and we work with the agents to
support this," says Lorraine Deuré.
Induction training involves four

training with the local Coach, and
then two days at Head Office a
few weeks later. "This allows a new
agent to hit the ground running and

The company has many
successful partners and couples
working together. "We strive to help
parents back into the workplace; 70
percent of our agents are women,"
says Lorraine Deuré, Leggett's
Head of Recruitment. "The average
age of our agents is 53, meaning
that the independent sales agent
role is ideal for women with other
commitments or those seeking a
more flexible work-life balance.

than the Leggett average, yet the
freedom to run her own business
also appealed to Helena Hermanns,
now an Area Coordinator in ParisIle-de-France.
In 2018 she swapped
promoting Icelandic nightlife to
being a Leggett agent: "Leggett
allows you to work in a way that
suits you - whether you want to
work alone, in a couple, or towards
being a team leader or coach. I love
