4 40s & 50s Annual Reunion - 17 April 2015
he Annual 40s/50s reunion luncheon, ably organised by
Colin Bulloch, was again held in the splendid surroundings
of the RAF Club, Piccadilly thanks to the invitation of Sir
Roger Birch. For the first time lady guests were invited to
enjoy the occasion and it was indeed a most amicable and
genial event.
After lunch the Headmaster gave an informative and
entertaining summary of the current activities of the
school. his was followed by an impassioned plea by Peter
Champion (C 1956) for OAs to remember the school in their wills to enable more bursaries to be given so that the
benefit of a King's education could be spread more widely.
he event was rounded off by a presentation of images of
'King's Past and Present' given by the school Archivist, Alison
Mason. hose who had not been back to school for many
years were amazed to see how the site had developed but
there was also plenty to recognise and remember.
After lunch Colin Bulloch announced that from next year
the event would be opened up to those who left in the
1960s, making it a 40s to 60s lunch with wives.
