Hong Kong Reception - 18 April 2015
he Hong Kong Foundation inaugural dinner was a huge
success, with OAs young and old enjoying wonderful fine
dining and wines in the Hong Kong Club. Guests of honour
were the Custos (Chairman of Governors) Mr Roger Knight
OBE, and his wife Chris. Also present were headmaster Mr
Richard Biggs and current parents, prospective parents and
pupils, agents, friends and family guests. Franklin Heng OA,
Vice Chairman of the Foundation, welcomed all present and
thanked the Foundation Board for their help in organising
the dinner and their commitment to the Foundation.
Headmaster Mr Richard Biggs talked about King's College's
present and recent successes, school and academic news and the importance of the Hong Kong Alumni and Foundation.
Later in the evening Mr Roger Knight talked about the wider
educational challenges and what makes King's different to
other schools. He further emphasised the value of the King's
Hong Kong community and the Foundation and thanked
them for their loyalty and support.
A slide show of photos of King's sporting and academic
facilities was shown, highlighting recent buildings and
projects, especially those made possible by OAs. he
evening was a great success. hank you to the Foundation
members for their help and in particular Ronald ham and
Leo Chan, who were responsible for the evening.
