YOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1: Fly London to Amsterdam.
Fly from London to Amsterdam. On arrival,
transfer to luxurious river cruise ship. Gather
on board for your welcome dinner.
Day 2: Amsterdam. Scenic canal cruise.
Panoramic city tour. Some free time to
explore.
Day 3: Cologne, Germany - Koblenz.
Guided tour of Cologne Old Town,
Cathedral Square, and the city's majestic
13th-century Gothic cathedral.
Day 4: Rüdesheim. Cruise through the
picturesque Rhine Gorge, admiring its many
castles and fortress ruins and the legendary
Lorelei Rock. Arrive in the winemaking town
of Rüdesheim, afternoon wine tasting with
a local vintner. Or, take a Gondola Ride
above the town Visit Siegfried's Mechanical
Instrument Museum.
Day 5: Speyer - Heidelberg. Choose
either a city tour of Speyer or a half-day
excursion to historic Heidelberg, where
you will visit the red-walled castle with its
Great Vat.
Day 6: Strasbourg, France. Panoramic city
tour that will take you past the Orangery,
the town's oldest park, the European
Parliament, and the Place de la Republique.
Day 7: Breisach, Germany. Walking tour
of Riquewihr, a picturesque town that looks
much as it did back in the 16th century or a
walking tour of Breisach and Freiburg.
Day 8: Basel, Switzerland -
Disembarkation. After breakfast,
disembark and transfer to airport for return
flight to London.

Day 1: Fly London to Munich. Transfer
to Vilshofen port for embarkation. Enjoy
"Oktoberfest" activities including: Bavarian
folk music, songs and dances and sample
Vilshofen's local beer and pretzels.
Day 2: Vilshofen - Passau. Explore
Vilshofen's Old Town. Cruise to Passau. Enjoy
a walking tour through this fairy tale city, visit
the Gothic and Italian Baroque architecture,
the city fortifications and St. Stephan's
Cathedral. Onboard wine tasting.
Day 3: Passau - Linz. Walking tour of Linz, or
visit Cesky Krumlov, a wonderfully preserved
medieval town, home to Bohemia's second
largest castle. Or take an excursion to
Salzburg, famous as the setting for the
"Sound of Music" and as the birthplace of
Mozart. Enjoy a sumptuous Captain's Dinner.
Day 4: Weissenkirchen. Cruise to Melk and
visit its famous Benedictine Abbey, one of
the largest Baroque monasteries in Europe.
Tour to a local vineyard near Durnstein for an
introduction to the famous Wachau wines.
Day 5: Weissenkirchen - Krems. Walking
tour of Durnstein. Cruise to Krems, learn
about the town's wine culture with a visit
to a Wachau winery. This evening enjoy an
insightful wine lecture.
Day 6: Vienna. Guided city tour includes
the opulent Vienna Opera House, the
Ringstrasse, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.
Optional: Mozart and Strauss concert or visit
a Viennese wine tavern.
Day 7: Budapest. Enjoy an onboard
wine lecture and tasting as you cruise to
Budapest. Visit the historic Buda Castle,
Fisherman's Bastion, the Royal Palace and
St. Stephen's Basilica. The ship will also sail a
special "Illuminations Cruise".
Day 8: Budapest - Disembarkation.
