CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN WITHIN THE
BUILT ENVIRONMENT HNC
(SCQF Level 7)
Course overview
This course is a technician level qualification that will provide
you with the basics you'll need to enter into a career as a
construction manager within the built environment
Minimum entry requirements
• One Higher at Grade C or above including Mathematics
or a Science subject; OR
• National Qualification at SCQF level 6 in Built
Environment; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

BUILT ENVIRONMENT NQ
(SCQF Level 6)
Course overview
Would you like to work in the construction industry in roles
such as Quantity Surveyor or Architectural technician?
Although mainly theory-based, the course offers practical
site visits to help you place your learning in context, with
opportunities found within Glasgow wherever possible. This
course is a great launchpad for a career in the Construction
Industry as well as an ideal starting point.
Minimum entry requirements
• Three National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above
including English, Mathematics and a Science subject;
OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

Course overview
The HND Construction Management course is a
technician level qualification that combines a broad-based
construction-industry-specific first-year curriculum with a
more specialist second-year curriculum, teaching you the
skills you need for employment in this highly demanding
sector.
Minimum entry requirements
• Two Highers at Grade C or above including Mathematics
or a Science subject; OR
• NQ at SCQF level 6 in Built Environment; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.
