PLASTERING NPA
(SCQF Level 5)
Course overview
On this course you'll study the practical and theoretical
aspects of Plastering which will prepare you for working in
the Construction Industry. You'll also develop transferable
skills such as numeracy and efficient working practices
which will help you to get a job in this field.
This 6 month course starts August and January.
Minimum entry requirements
• You must demonstrate an interest in Plastering; OR
• One National 4 level qualification, preferably in English,
Maths, or a Science subject or equivalent; OR
• Industry experience.

WALL AND FLOOR TILING NPA
(SCQF Level 5)
Course overview
You'll study the practical and theoretical aspects of wall and
floor tiling. This will assist you in preparing for employment
within the construction industry. The course has been
designed to deliver a recognised National Qualification in
Construction. You'll also have the opportunity to develop
transferable skills which are important if you want to gain
employment within the Construction industry
This 6 month course starts August and January.
Minimum entry requirements
• One National 4 qualification including English,
Mathematics or a Science subject; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION
CITY AND GUILDS
(SCQF Level 3)
Course overview
This City and Guilds course provides women with an
introduction into the Construction Industry. During the
course you'll gain experience and knowledge in a variety
of construction trades. The course will cover skills in
Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Plastering and Wall and
Floor Tiling.
This 6 month course starts August and January.

EXTENDED CERTIFICATE IN CONSTRUCTION
SKILLS CITY AND GUILDS

This course provides you with an introduction to the
Construction Industry. During this course you'll be taught
by staff with significant Construction Industry experience
where you'll gain experience and knowledge in a variety of
construction trades, including bricklaying and plastering.

PAINTING AND DECORATING NPA
(SCQF Level 5)
Course overview
This course is suited to those who have previous experience
in painting and decorating and would like to further develop
their skills. On this course you will cover a variety of sought-
after industry requirements from preparing a variety of
surfaces for decoration to producing decorative finishes.
This 6 month course starts August and January.
Minimum entry requirements
• You must demonstrate an interest in Painting and
Decorating; OR
• Experience in a building related occupation; OR
• One National 4 level qualification preferably in English,
Maths or a Science subject or equivalent.
