CARPENTRY AND JOINERY NPA

Course overview
On this course you'll study the practical and theoretical
aspects of Carpentry and Joinery which will prepare you
for working in the Construction Industry. You'll also develop
transferable skills such as numeracy and efficient working
practices which will help you to get a job in this field.
Minimum entry requirements
• You must demonstrate an interest in Carpentry and
Joinery
• One National 4 qualification: OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

CONSTRUCTION CRAFTS NQ
(SCQF Level 6)
Course overview
This course offers you practical, transferable skills and
theoretical knowledge of the Construction Industry to help
you find a job.
Minimum entry requirements
• One National 4 qualification including English,
Mathematics or a Science subject; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

CARPENTRY AND JOINERY NQ

Course overview
You'll study practical and theoretical units covering aspects
of carpentry and joinery. You'll also have the opportunity to
develop transferable skills which are important if you want
to gain employment within the Construction Industry. This is
a college devised course and on successful completion you
will receive certification on all successfully achieved units
from the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
Minimum entry requirements
• Carpentry and Joinery - NPA (SCQF Level 5), OR
• Carpentry and Joinery - City and Guilds (SCQF Level 5),
OR
• Practical Woodworking/Metalworking - National 5, OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEERING NPA
(SCQF Level 5)
Course overview
This is a vocational qualification giving you practical
opportunities for developing real skills that are valid and
relevant in the Building and Engineering Services sector.
You will gain a wide range of skills, practices and knowledge
across a range of subject areas including Plumbing and
Electrical operations, Energy and the Environment, Science
and Health and Safety. It will also better prepare you for
a career in the Building Services Engineering sector and
allow you to make an informed choice about the most
appropriate career option.
Minimum entry requirements
• You must demonstrate an interest in Building Services
Engineering AND have
• Two National 4 qualifications preferably in English,
Mathematics or Physics; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

HERITAGE SKILLS AND TECHNOLOGY NQ
(SCQF Level 6)
Course overview
This course is ideal if you're looking to pursue a career
in the Construction Industry at a technical level. Offering
specially designed, national validated SQA units, the course
is taught by staff with real experience in the industry and
a proven track record of bringing out the best in students.
It offers a mix of craft and technical units, combined with
theoretical and practical learning in both classrooms and
workshops.
