T
he Parents' Association provides
opportunities for parents to meet
each other socially and to support
the work of the school. It runs one major
social event each term such as the hog
roast at the start of the academic year,
which was attended by over 300 parents
and families. Parents' Association
Committee members help at Open
Mornings and run a second-hand uniform
scheme. New parents are encouraged to
get involved - please contact the
Chairman, Robert Adcock, via the
Development Office, telephone:
01823 328238.
At the start of the Michaelmas term
parents enjoyed a friendly game of cricket
and rounders against King's College staff.
The weather was wet so the cricket was
played in the sports hall and the rounders
on the astro turf. The staff enjoyed
success in the cricket match and the
ladies played a non-competitive but very
loud, fun game of rounders. The day
concluded with a barbecue and drinks for
all players and their families.
Parents v Staff rounders teams
The Staff v Parents cricket match had to be held indoors this year, as the dreadful
summer continued!
The Parents' Association holds a hog roast at the start of each academic year.
