Mental Health Team, HMP Maghaberry
A representative from The Royal College of Psychiatrists' Peer Review Quality Improvement
Network visited the Mental Health Team in HMP Maghaberry in 2019.
The Quality Improvement Network helps providers, users and commissioners of Mental Health
Services assess and improve their quality of care.
The Mental Health Team received fantastic feedback from the peer review:

Healthcare Team, HMP Maghaberry
HMP Maghaberry was complimented at an Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) meeting.
The IMB members stated:
"We cannot think of one negative thing to put in our report this year about healthcare and
want to congratulate the team on the progress!"
Additionally, it was reported that they spoke very positively about the Operational Nurse Manager,
Elaine Toner. They praised Elaine for her welcoming and open approach.
Robert Moore, Bank Nursing Management Support
to Prison Healthcare, had a paper published in
Nursing Management, an RCN monthly publication.
