International Nurses Day 2019
International Nurses Day was celebrated on 12 May
2019 which recognised the fantastic contribution our
Nurses make to the care and experience of patients and
their families.
We compiled a small selection of the achievements
of both Nursing and Midwifery, over a wide range of
services and presented them in a 2018 Celebration
Report.
On the Friday there was a Nursing Coffee morning which
was open to all members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
To thank our staff that could not attend the coffee
morning buns were delivered to all areas with a personal
note of appreciation from the Director of Nursing.

Resuscitation Services e-ILS Course
The Resuscitation Services Department has recently started to run the e-ILS course. This was
successfully piloted in October and has been running ever since. This course replaces the 'full day'
ILS.
Staff registered for the course complete online modules prior to attending. This reduces the time in
the classroom from 7 hours to 4 hours.
