IHI Improvement Advisors Programme
This ten-month Professional Development Programme includes three, four day, face-to-face
workshops and a series of monthly web based sessions that occur in between the face-to-face
workshops.
The aim of the programme is to expand the capacity for improvement in organisations by
developing Healthcare Improvement Advisors (IAs) to be effective leaders and facilitators who get
results and are able to accomplish the improvement strategies of their organisation.
In 2019 the Trust hosted two cohorts of the IHI Improvement Advisors Programme, Cohort 57 and
Cohort 59. Cohort 57 had 24 delegates from Northern Ireland, England and Wales.
Congratulations to Lisa Dullaghan who graduated from Cohort 57 in 2019.
In 2018, Chief Nursing Officer Charlotte McArdle agreed to support and fund a closed IHI
Improvement Advisor Cohort for Nursing and Allied Health Professionals. 23 participants registered
for Cohort 59 which commenced in April 2019 through to January 2020.
