Neil was brilliantly supported through the season by Brad Lynch
(two centuries) and Bertie Preston. On the bowling front, the
attack was led by Liam Redrup, backed by some devastating spells
from Luke Tomkins.
After an early season loss to Millfield, the 2nds gathered pace
and recorded a string of victories:
against both Queen's and Taunton, as
well as Clifton, Bryanston, Blundell's,
Monmouth and Canford. Harry Magill
and Max Germain attacked well with
the bat, while Ed Denton excelled
with the ball, but the star of the show
was skipper Gabriel Counsell, who
led the team superbly all season.
The 3rds had a mixed season,
frustrated by weather, cancellations
by the opposition and examinations
- in the match against Blundell's,
exams reduced the team to only three
of the regulars. However, there were
some spirited performances during
the season, in particular against
Queen's, where Sam Sprague and Ed
Blowers stopped the collapse to set
133 to defend, and were supported
by keen bowling from Harvey Walsh,
Kristian Willmott and Hamish Manger.
The 4ths had a very short season,
badly affected by the weather, but
had some keen matches, and ended
the season in style with a win against
