T
he Friends of King's was
founded by Canon Kenneth
Kirk, Provost, in 1933 and
exists to further the cause of
King's College in the broadest
sense, to widen knowledge of
the school and to maintain and strengthen ties
both internally and externally.
In recent years, many parents and grandparents
have expressed a wish to keep in touch with
King's once their children have left the school,
and so in 2007 the Friends of King's was
relaunched and all parents now automatically
become members once their youngest child has
left the school. Other relatives and supporters
of the school are most welcome to join too.
There is no charge for membership and many
activities are free, although some are selffinancing.
Each term Friends are sent a letter from the
Headmaster, together with the latest school
newsletter, and are invited to selected school
