I
n 2007, a passion for photography
started; the following year, Harry
Marshall Photography was formed,
branded with a logo, and completed
with a website
(www.marshallphotos.co.uk).
It all started with me taking a few portraits for
friends at home, then coming back from the
summer holiday as a casual photographer
covering sport and concerts at King's. I quickly
established myself as the 'semi-official
photographer'. The benefits were (and still are)
great, with invites to all of the balls and house
events, whilst now doing the majority of the
team photos means that there is barely a
person in the school who has not been
captured by my camera!
The journey has been incredible; one hardly
expects to go to senior school and set up a
business where you are doing corporate
photography in London and Sovereign's
Parades at Sandhurst. However it has been
the learning that has been the greatest
experience: the first-hand practice of securing
contracts and selling a service has been
invaluable. I now hope to go on to study
business management.
