Young OAs have enjoyed many sporting
successes over the past year, and we
were proud to have four OAs playing
cricket for Somerset against South Africa.
Our Under 21 OA Rugby Team competed
in the National Public Schools Cronk Cunis
competition in the summer, and a number
of sporting matches were held at King's
during the year, such as football, tennis,
cricket and hockey. OA golf matches
have been played regularly around the
country by OAs young and old with some
success, although the OAs lost to the
King's boys at Taunton and Pickeridge in
May!
The OA Turner twins also rowed across
the Atlantic in January 2012 setting two
new world records for the youngest fourman
crew and the first twins to have
rowed any of the world's oceans. Ross
and Hugo returned to King's with their
boat to talk about their adventure in the
summer.
