F
ormer member of staff Tim Hart is
the current chairman and took over
from Ben Sykes at the end of the
Summer term. Friends are sent a termly
newsletter, and are invited to selected
school events and sports matches, plus a
special annual Friends' Festive Tea before
the Carol Service at Christmas and an
annual Friends' reception during the
summer.
Friends are encouraged to be part of the
Business Network in which all members of
the King's community can make the most
of King's connections. The network will be
of great benefit to current pupils and
young OAs who need help to make
choices regarding universities, courses
and careers.
A large group of Friends arrived at King's
on July 2nd for the Friends' Reception and
Summer Concert. Drinks were enjoyed
before heading to the Chapel for the
School Summer Concert. Friends and
parents also enjoyed lunch in the Antony
Hewish Room on Saturday 19th May,
hosted by Ben Sykes, before watching a
successful King's cricket match against
Blundell's.
