Our cricketers recorded an unprecedented five clean sweeps on
consecutive weekends, winning 35 out of 35 games against
Blundell's, Queen's, Bryanston, Taunton School and Clifton.
The 1st XI boys' hockey squad were county champions, qualified from the West
Preliminary Finals and the Regional Finals, and lost only to Trent College in the
national knock-out stages.
Our Under 18 boys were just a goal away from qualifying for
the national finals of the schools' indoor hockey tournament!
Our Under 19 netball team represented
Somerset in the South West Round of
the national schools' competition after
finishing runners-up in the county
tournament.
The Under 18s reached the final of the
West of England Sevens, beating Christ
College Brecon, Monmouth, KES Bath,
Cheltenham and Bryanston along the way.
Still only 16 years old, Matthew
Richards played for the gold medal
winning England Under 18s team in
the Easter Four Nations International
Tournament against Spain, Germany
and Holland.
The MCC Foundation has chosen
King's to be one of only six

recognised as an MCC Foundation
Hub, in an initiative to discover and
nurture new young cricketing talent.
