Adam Dewbery returned to
his alma mater to start his
teaching career, and
contributed magnificently to
the mathematical life of the
school - he is an
outstanding mathematician.
He was a deputy in
Tuckwell, a cricket coach,
and the man who got the
AQA BAC off the ground and
running successfully. He
leaves to become a deputy
head of department.
Gareth Stamp certainly
made his mark on King's in
his brief two years with us.
He threw himself into
photography, sustainability,
Bishop Fox house and into
his teaching. He leaves to
begin a new career in
Kazakhstan, and we wish
him every success in this
new and challenging role.
Kerry Marshall joined us on
maternity cover, and played
a vital role in keeping girls'
games going with energy
and enthusiasm. She leaves
us to take up a post at
Bruton School for Girls, and
we wish her all the best in
her new job.
Jane Brossard was a learning support teacher
for eight years, always sensitive, and expert at
inspiring confidence in those she helped. She
achieved some impressive individual success,
with pupils she has helped gaining A grades at
A Level. For a while she acted as a tutor in
Meynell house, helped in our drive for a
modern library, and made many contributions
to the English department.
Rebecca Nutt was a deputy in Meynell and
Taylor houses, helped with netball and riding,
started with the Chindits and later became sublieutenant
in the Navy section of the CCF, and
was an important support to drama with set
design. In art, she contributed to a department
which has always been ranked in the top few
for A Level and GCSE grades, sharing in
particular her expertise in photography.
