Masked guests at the Ball
T
he Parents' Association was
formally constituted in 2008
to provide opportunities for
parents to meet each other
socially and to support the
work of the school. It runs
one major social event each term such as the
Hog Roast at the start of the academic year,
which was attended by over 350 parents and
families. Parents' Association Committee
members help at Open Mornings and run a
second-hand uniform scheme. New parents
are encouraged to get involved - please contact
the Chairman, Robert Adcock, via the
Development Office, on 01823 328238.
The Parents' Association Masked Ball was held
at King's College to commemorate the 200th
anniversary of the birth of Nathaniel Woodard.
It took place on Friday 18th February 2011,
and the evening raised a significant amount
towards the Woodard Charity project.
A delicious three-course dinner was enjoyed by
almost 350 guests, who were entertained by a
fantastic performance from the King's Big
Band. After dinner, guests took to the dance
floor, after having helped to raise a significant
sum by participating in a game of Heads and
Tails, and bidding against one another for some
fantastic lots in the auction.
