Another extraordinary year of
life at King's, typified by this
year's Summer term, which was
some two weeks shorter than
usual, but into which we packed
even more than the previous
year!
Our Royal Marines won the Sir
Steuart Pringle trophy for the
second year running - and as I
write at the beginning of
October have just made it a hattrick
of wins in this highly
prestigious and competitive test
of skill and endurance.
Academic achievement was as
conspicuous as ever this year,
driven by the opening of our
magnificent new library.
There were triumphs aplenty in
sport and in the cultural life of
the school - this year we were
treated for the first time to news
each week at the Headmaster's
Monday assembly of the intense
rivalry that was the inter-house
chess competition!
Don't forget to keep up with all
our news and reports on every
sports fixture played by logging
on to our new website
www.kings-taunton.co.uk
And enjoy another packed
edition of this magazine - it
should make for a breathless
read!
