There were several
changes to the School
Council during the
year - Gerry Mulder,
Anne Larpent and
David Jasper all retired
after distinguished
contributions to our
school community.
We thank them for
their hard work and
expertise. Joining the
Council are Brendan
Clover (Provost) and
Bishop Martin Shaw
(Provost in the West) -
we wish them every
happiness in their
association with the
school.
Rt Hon Lord Williamson of Horton gave a fascinating insight to 6th form pupils
into the role of the House of Lords in modern Britain.
The first stage in our major tree planting programme took
place in front of the whole school in November.
The Duke of Somerset planted an elm tree sapling in the
Memorial Garden to mark King's being chosen as one of 250
schools in the country to take part in The Conservation
Foundation's Great British Elm Experiment.
