K
ing's College is committed to
providing the highest quality
of teaching and pastoral
care, and the Development
Office exists to help the
school maintain its standards
of excellence. We are very grateful to many of
you who have made generous donations in the
past, large and small, either to the general
appeals or for specific areas of interest.
Located in the heart of the school, the
Development Office also provides administrative
support for the Old Aluredian Club, the Friends
of King's, and the Parents' Association.
Working closely with the King's community of
OAs, Friends, Parents, staff and pupils, the
Development Office promotes the involvement
of the King's community in the success of the
school. The Development Office also plays a
key role in organising a variety of events at
school for OAs and Friends, including those
events open to the whole King's community,
such as the Batten Lecture series.
The Business / Careers Network has been set
up by the Development Office to help recent
leavers and young OAs with their career
choices, as well as providing networking
opportunities for those in established careers,
and advice for those looking to change careers.
The Network is available to any member of the
King's community looking for careers
information, networking and advice.
The Annual Fund was set up by the
Development Office in 2010 to help fund
projects in all areas of school life. The Annual
Fund supports the development of King's
College through a programme of planned
giving, raising money for specific projects
identified for support each academic year.
The Annual Fund of 2010 / 2011 was a great
success. We were delighted with the response
and were able to fund all five main projects.
The school tower now has clocks facing east
and west, there are several new benches
around the school, pupils are using the
telescope in the Physics department, groves of
trees are being planted, and the digital
scoreboards have made a professional addition
to the hockey pitches.
The two clocks in the tower,
kindly donated by Victor
Chu and Franklin Heng
The tree planting scheme is a great success
Twenty-five benches were donated and are in constant use
