TRANSPARENCY REPORT |
As a firm, we are committed to
delivering high-quality audits and being
the auditor of choice in the mid-market.
In September 2020, we created a dedicated audit
quality department, led by our newly recruited Head
of Audit Quality, with the objective of strengthening
our already robust processes.
The past year has not been without its challenges,
with audit teams having to quickly adapt to new
ways of working without compromising on audit
quality. This was achieved through the clarity of
messaging and the re-emphasis of the core pillars
driving quality audit.
Audit Quality enhancement plan
As part of our commitment to continuous
improvement, an audit quality enhancement plan
was developed in December 2020 around eight
core audit quality components. The plan's initiatives
were developed being cognisant of the incoming
international standards on quality monitoring and
will evolve as more structured ISQM1 compliance
processes are introduced. Rigorous governance
processes through both the Public Interest
Committee and the Audit Management Board ensure
accountability for delivery and challenge over the
planned approach and outcomes.
