FOREWORD
Everyone throughout the whole
organisation has pulled together,
supported each other and continued to
dedicate themselves to making RSM
and its clients a success. It has been
a great team effort and I'd like to take
this opportunity to thank team RSM.
The generosity and commitment of our people
was demonstrated when we asked them to
step up and help those less fortunate. As a firm
we decided to support VaccinAid, a UNICEF led
campaign to make sure no one is left behind.
The charity ensures that the life-saving
coronavirus vaccine is distributed in countries
where they do not have the means to purchase
it for themselves. We set an ambitious target
of raising £100,000. Within 24 hours our total
was over £40,000 and we exceeded our target
by mid-July.
As we move forward, we are keen we do not
lose sight of the ways we adapted and the
lessons learned during the pandemic. We will
embrace working flexibly, using technology
to meet client expectations whilst reducing
our carbon footprint. Our staff survey in May
indicated that many of our people would like to
work from home at least part of the week but
are also keen to work in the offices and out at
clients. Teams calls will not become a thing of
the past but we will return to a more balanced
way of working. The commute will return but
not in the same way and we hope this will lead
to a better working environment over the
long run.
I am optimistic. The world will emerge from this
crisis having learnt much and we, at RSM, will
continue to play our part in helping clients and
supporting communities.
