Y
es, my background
is as a lawyer, and I
am also accredited
by the Centre
de Formation
à l'Expertise
Immobilière. Leggett opened an
offi ce in Nice last year; we have now
truly established ourselves in the
marketplace and have an excellent
team (we're always on the lookout
for new recruits, too). Our city
probably doesn't need much of an
introduction - it's not called "Nice
la Belle" for nothing. Only Paris
has a larger hotel capacity, and we
welcome over 4m tourists every
year, many of whom arrive via our
busy international airport. Property
in the city is always popular, with
demand from both the domestic
and overseas markets. Out of the
200,000 properties in the city, it
is estimated that around 15% are
holiday homes. If you are looking to
buy here, then I would urge you to
come and visit us, on the southern
side of Place Massena, as many
properties are sold discreetly and
off-market.
Nice has a fi rst-class university,
and students add to the wonderful
"buzz" you will fi nd here. Their need
for suitable accommodation also
means that there is a consistent
demand for rentals, adding to
the attractiveness of investment
property in the city. Premium prices
in the city can be found in the Carre
d'Or quarter, where you will pay an
average of over 7,000 euros per m².
Of course, there are also many
prime locations outside of the city
centre and this whole stretch of the
Mediterranean coast has the most
glorious resorts, many of which are
world-famous. You could pick just
about any James Bond fi lm and still
Thomas Lloze trained as a lawyer and now runs our
offi ce on the Avenue Max Gallo, in Nice
