SOCIETIES AND SPORTS CLUBS
All clubs and societies are student-led. The SU has
both a Sports Federation and a Societies Federation,
which oversee the activities of the sports clubs and
societies respectively.
The Sports Federation offers many competitive or
recreational sports and has a range of teams for
you to join, with have over 35 sports teams
competing on Wednesdays against other
universities. The Sports Federation also hosts
sports Raising and Giving (RAG) charity events,
such as charity football matches.
The Societies Federation is a student-led body that
supports student organised and led social and
academic based activities at the University of
Chichester. With over 20 societies in existence
there is something to cater for everyone such as
Dance, Music, Creative Writing, as well as Pool,
Afro-Caribbean, LGBT, Christian Union, Harry
Potter and many more. Members of Societies meet
up regularly, organise and take part in different
activities; some even run their own excursions and
events. If there is not a Society for you then all you
need is 10 people who would join if you were to
create one. For more information visit

VOLUNTEERING AND PERSONAL
DEVELOPMENT
There are many ways to volunteer with the SU and
you can gain accreditation for your efforts. This is a
great way to strengthen your CV and develop skills
beyond those gained on your course. However
you volunteer, whether you are a Student Voice
Representative, Students' Union Elected Official,
RAG volunteer, organise your own event or
fundraising activity or already volunteer with an
external charity, the Students' Union can provide
you with both the tools to deliver these activities
successfully as well as recognition and employability
skills on both a local and national level. These
include the HEAR (Higher Education Achievement
Report), the National VInspired Awards as well as
our newly established Students' Union Awards. To
