DATA SCIENCE BSC (HONS)†
The digital world produces huge quantities of 'big
data'. An analysis of that data that can be used to
bring a greater understanding to social and
economic systems, consumer behaviour, product
and transport design, as well as giving businesses
greater insight into their activities. 'Big data' is,
however, only as useful as the information that we
can derive from it; this course will give you skills in
statistics, analytics, report writing, data computation
and digital marketing.
MATHEMATICS AND MATHEMATICAL
LEARNING BSC (HONS)
This course offers you the opportunity to study
mathematics at degree level whilst following
enquiries into the psychology of the teaching and
learning of mathematics. Students wishing to teach
would need to undertake a PGCE.
MATHEMATICS AND TEACHING FOR
KEY STAGES 2 AND 3 (QTS) BSC (HONS)
Mathematics has always been a particular strength
of Teacher Education at Chichester. This course
offers you a route into a subject-based teaching
career at either primary or secondary level.
MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS
BSC (HONS)†
Applying mathematical and statistical methods to
commercial problems develops a rational approach
to problem-solving. You will build an understanding
of the applications of mathematics, statistics and
data analysis with a particular focus on the emerging
field of data science. You will use software packages
to develop your understanding of the subject and to
help you solve problems.
